Healing power of spices is long known to prevent health problems. Traditional remedies which is validated by latest research to help you spice up your health regimen.

Spices and herbs contain phytochemicals – biologically active compounds, some of which have anti-oxidant properties – that make them excellent additives to food.

Ginger: Known for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties, ginger helps to slow tumour growth. It helps relieves gastric trouble like indigestion, constipation and colic.

Cinnamon: Is an excellent anti-oxidant and is known to control blood sugar. Research has shown that ½ tsp of cinnamon powder daily reduces blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetics.

Cloves: Cloves contain chemical eugenol known for their vaso- relaxing( blood vessel widening ) properties. Essential oil from clove is anti-inflamatory and has anaesthetic properties. Clove oil is recommended as a home remedy to relieve toothaches.

Holy Basil: From bronchitis to malaria, from skin disease to arthritis, and dysentery to eye disease, holy basil or tulsi is known to be able to cure almost everything.

Mint: Traditionally used to treat minor stomach problems and decongestant. A strong anti-oxidant, is used to calm heart palpitations.

Sharing the liquorice often used in my home to relieve cold and congestion and sore throat. With winters at its pick and low temperature, drink this liquorice daily to build your immunity.

Take 250 ml of water add ginger, freshly crushed black pepper, tulsi, and cloves. Boil all over low flame, a little honey added. Does it work ? Like a Charm.
